Baltimore's Two if by Sea has been at the forefront of the Charm City's burgeoning rock scene for nearly five years now, winning favorable comparisons to groups like Editors, Franz Ferdinand, and Interpol for their dark and heady brand of angular post-punk. On Safety, Two if by Sea sound off, exploring the juxtaposition of post-adolescent life in Baltimore City. Vocalist/Guitarist Cris Cowan dramatically croons lyrics of abstraction, restlessness, and desperation against a backdrop of stunning guitar interplay and taut rhythms. String arrangements replace the synth sounds of old, further encapsulating the atmosphere and air of the City.

Kawasaki, named for Baltimore's sister city in Japan, was opened in 1984. As Baltimore's oldest continuing purveyor of uniquely Japanese cuisine, our success is based on a commitment to quality and innovation. Our ingredients come from many sources: the U.S., the Mediterranean, and of course Japan. To assure freshness, everything we serve is rigorously inspected by Japanese-trained sushi chefs who constantly monitor quality.
We combine tradition with creativity and offer many items that are exclusive to Kawasaki. New Kawasaki inventions are added weekly so please ask your server to discuss the day's unique offerings.

"Lo-Fi feels like going to a kick-ass party at a good friends house... except the friend in this case has a stage, a dance floor, pool table, and a bar."

"Reeking of big-city panache, this nightspot may leave some wondering if they're still in Bawlmer, hon'. Hardwood floors and whitewashed brick walls establish pure minimalism, while cushioned benches, low tables and backless stools extend for the length of the central room. A second room, with low slung couches and oversized slate fire boxes gets rhythmic support from local DJs. Asian tapas (e.g., duck vindaloo and macadamia tuna) complement cutting-edge martinis and mojitos."
